The Dominic family has been involved in the wine industry for some 90 years. My father Dragutin Dominic migrated to South Australia from Croatia in 1955, with wife Ana, young family and just one suitcase in hand, following the dream to continue his vigneron work and someday work his own vineyards.

My father lived his dream and passed his knowledge and intense passion onto the next Dominic generation. My first memories of the vineyards are when I was only 4 years old, driving the old red tractor down the rows of vines, and my father teaching me where to find the best fruit, and the principals of patience and hard work.

After developing my first vineyard I realised it was in the blood, and now the next generation of Dominics share that enthusiasm.

Even after 25 years experience managing the vineyards I look forward to vintage. The care, commitment and hard work of the past year comes to a single moment when in the cool night air we go out and harvest. We now strive to create and contantly improve the flavour and character in the fruit that we grow.

Today there are four Dominic vineyards, personally hand planted and trained by myself and the family. Each vineyard has its own individual character and personality.

The Dominic wine range is produced from selected patches for strong varietal character and depth of colour. We promise that you will enjoy the fruits of our labour.
